Turomas exceeds its expectations at China Glass 2019

The Chinese International Technical Exhibition of Industrial Glass, more commonly known as China Glass, the largest professional glass fair in Asia and of the two most important for the sector on a global scale. This exhibition is organized each spring by the Ceramic Society of China.

Almost 1,000 exhibitors from 30 Asian, European, and American countries and states participated in the thirtieth edition of China Glass, held between May 22 and May 25. On this occasion, the event was again held at the New China Exhibition Center (NCIEC) pavilions in Beijing.

As with other large domestic and international machinery manufacturers, Turomas did not want to lose the opportunity to show its accomplishments and the progress it had made at this benchmark space. Álvaro Tomás, the vice president of Turomas and part sales team, represented by Ruth Ruiz, Guillermo Ortega and Eduardo Nieto traveled to the Asian capital.

The presence of Turomas at the 30th edition of China Glass exceeded expectations; visits on the first day alone were more than all those in 2015 by 20%. These visits led to the signing of important agreements and an increase of interest in Turomas machinery in India, a market which expected to provide a high volume of sales in the future.

“In accordance with our strategy for gaining positioning in the Asian markets and to reinforce our business relations with our business network in areas and countries such as the MENA region, India, Viet Nam, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, and Australia, it is essential we be present at this fair. It is the benchmark fair from the Middle East to Oceania and, on a global scale, it is the second most important one after Glasstec,” states Álvaro Tomás.

The Turomas stand attracted the attention of potential clients, but it was also a meeting point for some current clients arriving from Spain, Portugal, and other European and South American countries who did not want to pass by without stopping to say high and exchange opinions.

Without a doubt, given the excellent results in terms of visibility and the great business opportunities it has provided, China Glass has become an obligatory annual event for Turomas.

At the same time as the exhibition and business get-togethers, there were technical seminars which dealt with sector novelties, trends, and evolution. This included, among others, topics related to intelligent manufacturing, solutions, applications, decorations, saving energy, and respect for the environment.

Dinner with Mediterranean flavor

On Thursday, May 23, Turomas decided to invite its clients and distributors to dinner. The place chosen for the event was the rooftop terrace of the modern, first-class Mediterranean restaurant, Migas Mercado, located in the heart of Beijing.

For more than three hours, the diners could enjoy a comfortable space and environment in which to converse and to continue making connections outside of the exhibition area; they also got to enjoy wonderful views of Beijing’s most emblematic monuments.
