At TUROMAS in Düsseldorf, the company will demonstrate how automation and process integration can increase production capacity and improve workflow in glass plants.

TUROMAS returns to Glasstec, the leading international trade show for the glass industry, to be held October 20–23 in Düsseldorf, with a focus on a single goal: connecting different stages of the production process to create more efficient, flexible lines that are ready to meet the industry’s evolving needs.

At our 700 m² booth in Hall 15, A13–A23, we will showcase the latest solutions for smart storage, automatic loading, cutting of monolithic and laminated glass, software, and automation, along with new solutions developed to optimize production flow.

From Storage to Cutting: Connected Processes

One of the focal points of TUROMAS` participation at Glasstec 2026 will be the integration of storage, loading, cutting and unloading of laminated glass.

Smart, automated storage is no longer a standalone element but has become an active part of the production process. Coordination between the warehouse and the production line allows for more efficient management of glass feeding and return, reduces wait times, and maintains a continuous workflow.

This integration addresses an increasingly pressing need in processing plants: not only to increase the capacity of each machine but also to ensure that the different stages of the process work in a coordinated manner.

Greater Capacity for Laminated Glass Cutting

The growing demand for laminated glass is leading many companies to reevaluate their production capacities. To address this situation, TUROMAS will present various configurations that allow production lines to be tailored to the needs of each plant.

Among these are mixed-use lines, capable of processing both monolithic and laminated glass within the same automated environment. This configuration provides greater flexibility, enables the fulfilment of urgent orders, and facilitates the management of different production runs, while also expanding the plant’s operational capacity.

We will also showcase configurations featuring two laminated glass cutting bridges, designed to increase production capacity when the workload requires higher throughput.

 

New Generation LAM 600

The new LAM 600 series will be one of the highlights of the exhibition.

Designed to address the growing production pressures in laminated glass processing, the series incorporates a set of solutions aimed at reducing cycle times and automating the various stages of the process.

Notable among these is a patented system that integrates the heating lamp directly into the cutting and separation unit. This configuration allows for heating, cutting, and separation in a single operation, reducing the cutting cycle by up to 10 seconds compared to conventional solutions.

The LAM 600 also automates operations such as loading, positioning, cutting, rotating, and unloading the sheets, minimizing wait times between processes and facilitating more continuous production.

The series also incorporates automatic rotation systems, narrow-strip handling, Low-E glass stripping, and various traceability options and integration capabilities with plant management systems.

A New Solution for Part Removal in Dual-Bridge Lines

Cutting capacity does not depend solely on the bridge speed. Managing the parts after cutting can also become a determining factor in maintaining production pace.

In conventional dual-bridge configurations for laminated glass, the removal of parts processed on the first bridge may depend on the operations being performed on the second. This situation can create bottlenecks and dictate the order in which the sheets are discharged.

To address this challenge, we will present a new in-line solution at Glasstec that optimizes sheet discharge and maintains a more efficient production flow.

This technology was developed to ensure that discharge is no longer a bottleneck within the line but instead becomes part of a coordinated process management system.

 

Technology, Software and Integration

Equipment automation is complemented by TUROMAS’s in-house software development.

We integrate digital technologies to provide real-time process information, improve traceability, and connect the various stages of production. The LAM 600 series features a display that allows users to check the status of each optimization, view parts in real time, and identify the current action, the part sequence, the optimization in progress, and the next one to be executed.

The goal is to move toward facilities where machinery, software, and data work together to optimize production.
